National Childhood Obesity Awareness Month is in September, and it is observed to educate children and their families on how to prevent childhood obesity.
Childhood obesity is when a child's body accumulates excess fat significantly impacting their health and well-being.
It can cause - Diabetes,
Heart Problems,
Sleep Apnoea,
Psychological Issues.
THINGS TO BE TAKEN CARE OFF
- No screen time while having food.
- Reduce excessive sugar intake by switching sugary drinks with water.
- Try to follow a balanced diet.
- Encourage Physical activity.
- Sufficient sleeping hours is also required.
