These are the guidelines for Health care professionals If they are exposed to COVID19 virus. 

This is put fowarded by Health and family welfare department, Government of Kerala. 

Best preoperative rinse in a Dental office?

The best preoperative rinse in a dental office is  0.2% Povidone Iodine
                 or
1% hydrogen peroxide

for 15-30 seconds.

Preoperative rinse reduces the bacterial load prior to a procedure.

It  accelerates the healing  ,

 it is also beneficial for both patient and the dentist.

Will coronavirus Covid 19 transmitted through air?

Yes .coronavirus- SARs CoV2 can be transmitted through air also.
 A recent study by researchers across 30 countries came in to conclusion that coronavirus- covid 19 can be transmitted through air. They have directed WHO to correct the statement regarding this.

WHO finally agreed to this statement. In some angle it's TRUE it seems.

How long a coronavirus survive in different surfaces?

Corona virus is transmitted through droplet infection .
 A person can possibly get COVID 19 by touching a surface or an object that has coronavirus in it and then touching his own mouth, nose, eyes.
Here lies the importance of proper hand washing.

This is based on temperature of 24-25degree Celsius at 40%humidity.

1. Metal surfaces
( eg:-door handles,goldornaments ) ----5days

2. Glass ( eg:-glass windows, ceramic plates )---- 5 days

3. Newspaper,magazine,currency notes ---5 days.

4. Hard items such as a cardboard box ---1 day

5. Wood items (eg:- wooden furniture) ---4 days.

6. Plastic items ---- 2 days

7. Steel, water bottle, inside a refrigerator---------2 days.

8. Aluminum surface---2 - 8 hours

9. Copper surface---4 hours

10. Dresses - not yet identified.

At higher temperature and humidity levels coronavirus survive for a shorter time.

Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, whose birthday and death day surprisingly on the same day July 1st.

Celebrated as National doctors day for his service to humanity.

He is the 2nd Chief Minister of West Bengal and a Bharat Ratna Recipient also.
