Sun stroke

This is typically an emergency situation.

Population affected most are

Elders

Children

Sports and games players

Outside working labours

Symptoms


  • Lack of sweating



  • Dryness and reddened skin



  • Vomiting



  • Headache



  • Weakness of body



  • Tired eyes



  • Loss of consciousness


Prevention

1. Drink plenty of water -water with salt preferred.

2. Avoid alcohol consumption

3. Take bath often

4.We loose cotton dress

5. Reduce going to open spaces

6. Don't stay inside closed vehicle while parking.

Emergency treatment

Shift to shade area

Clean and wipe  face with water.

Body wash with water.

Use fan,so that heat dessipate from body.

Put ice cubes in underarms and groin area.

Shift the patient to hospital,if unconscious.

Coughing and shortness of breath decreases.

Your added risk of coronary heart disease is
Half that of smokers.

After 5year's
Stroke risk is reduced to that of non smokers 5 to 15 year's after quitting.

After 10year's
Lung cancer death rate is about half that of a smoker.your risk of cancer of mouth,throat,esophagus,pancreas,bladder,kidney decreases.

After 15year's
Your risk of coronary heart disease is back to that of a non smoker.
